LEHS “Ladies” dine at Gannon

On Tuesday, July 12th, 15 of our classmates met for lunch, had fun catching up & passed the “hat” for our class scholarship fund.  The “professional” photographer was none other than fellow classmate, Tom Fabrizio!!  We thank him.

LEHS Class of 1965, 2022 Scholarship Recipients

Thanks to the generosity of our classmates, we were able to give two $1,000 scholarships to The LEHS Class of 2022!  We had ten very deserving students apply.  Thank you also to Fred Bollen for presenting our scholarships at the LEHS Awards Night on June 1st to these amazing young ladies.

Vatana Chen has been President of the LEHS Class of 2022 for the past 4 years.  She is #6 in her class of over 500 students and is a member of the National Honor Society.  She has been active in Girls INC. and has been instrumental in setting up confidential healthcare in Lynn Public Schools.  Vatana will attend Tufts University in the Fall as a Biology and Biotechnology major.

Kelsey McNeil is the recipient of the Greater Boston League All Girl Scholar-Athlete Award for LEHS.  She has played Varsity Sports in Basketball, Softball and Cheerleading where she has been Captain of all three sports.  Kelsey volunteers with young adults and children for the Special Olympics and plans to attend Curry College as a Nursing student.

Both of these young ladies have worked very hard and done so well.  We wish them much success and happiness.

It’s Scholarship time again

It’s been awhile since you’ve heard from us!  Hope you got through the winter safe and sound and are enjoying some nice spring weather.  I know we all probably thought COVID would be long gone and we’d be out of the woods by now but hopefully by 2025 for our 60th reunion it will be safe to travel and enjoy a large gathering.
LEHS Class of ’65 Scholarship Thank you to all the classmates who made donations last year.  Once again our Class is planning a $1,000 Scholarship Award to a deserving student in the graduating class of 2022.  We have given out over $30,000 in scholarships since 1981 and will continue this tradition as long as we can.  No donation is ever too small.  They added up to a substantial amount.
Please go to the following website to see the posted Class of ’65 application form and guidelines:  LEHSguidance.org and click on Scholarship & Financial Aid to find the information.  Note:  Preference may be made to a grandchild of a Class of ’65 classmate.
If you can make a donation this year, we could possibly award a second scholarship.  You can request a Scholarship Donation form on our website.  Thank you for considering this worthy cause.

Status of our 55th + one reunion

Thank you to all our classmates and guests who supported our 55th (+ one) reunion on 9/24/21 by either attending or sending in a donation for our Scholarship Fund.  It was a tough year to go ahead with our reunion.  The Committee would have preferred to reschedule til 2022 but unfortunately the DoubleTree did not agree.  We received a lot of positive feedback from the attendees so we hope everyone had a good time and enjoyed catching up with old friends.  We canvassed the attendees to see what they would like to do for our 60th so stay tuned for a get together in 2025!!  In the meantime, stay healthy and have fun.   Also, remember if you move, change your email or phone number, please update on our website by using the form on-line so we can keep you informed.”
