Many of you remember Peter Loomis who was a science student teacher at
LEHS our sophomore year. He ended up teaching at LEHS and was a favorite of
many of our classmates. We heard the beginning of May from several classmates
that Peter was in the hospital, intubated and suffering from COVID-19. He is
now in a rehab recovering and gaining strength so he can go home. We sent him a
card from “The Class of ’65” wishing him a speedy recovery and thought many of
you might want to know. He has attended many of our reunions and he may well be
the only teacher still alive from our days at LEHS!
We hope you and your families stay safe and healthy during these trying
times.
