Thursday, November 11 is Veteran’s Day. There were a number of men and women from Lynn English Class of 1965 that spent time in the service of our country. One was killed in action in Vietnam. We owe our thanks to our vets for their honorable contribution to the national security.
I have listed a number of veterans from LEHS Class of 1965 below. I know there are more but I am not sure who they are. If you are a vet from LEHS Class of 1965 and your name is not listed below please contact us and your name will be added.
Here are some facts about the Vietnam era which is when most of our classmates served. In addition to the statistics below, a number of our classmates who served came back alive, but not the same as they were before serving.

As webmaster I was responsible for the posting. I need to add my personal thanks to all the members (both listed and unlisted) of our class who served. My thanks extends to all veterans not just our LEHS class.
How young we were right out of high school and to think these soldiers endured so much beyond our imagination. No documentary, movie or book can truly describe the experience of those serving in our military, past and present. I had no idea so many classmates served. How proud we are of you all! Thank you for your service and for those who gave their lives for our freedom.
Thank you to all who served and to those who gave their lives to allow us the freedom we enjoy today.
You will never be forgotten!
The book “The Elephant and The Tiger” is a factual representation of the Vietnam War and the horror of it all. When I think of Norman and all LEHS Grads from other classes that gave thier lives it breaks my heart.. Just kids..I had the privilige of talking with Norman’s Mother when the Wall came to Frasier Field..Thanks to all who served and gave so much.
