The girls go out again

The  “65”girls got together for lunch at the Gannon on May 11th.  We added a “Passed The Hat” for the Scholarship fund. We have decided to do that at every lunch to help the program. We raised a tidy sum.. Donations are always welcome.

LEHS Class of ’65 Scholarship

Our class is once again planning to award a $1,000 scholarship to a deserving student in the graduating class of 2021.  The past year has been very difficult for everyone but especially students.  Seniors hoping to head off to college in the Fall have lost so much so we are happy to be able to follow through once again with a scholarship from our class.  Please go to the following website in several days to see the posted Class of ’65 application form:  LEHSguidance.org and click on Scholarship & Financial Aid to find the application.  Note:  Preference may be made to a grandchild of a Class of ’65 classmate.

Scholarship Donations

Classmates!  It’s that time of year again.  Over the past 28 years you as a class have been very generous.  We have awarded over $29,000 in scholarships.  We would welcome donations large and small to possibly award a second $1,000 scholarship or replenish our funds to be able to award one next year.  You can request a Scholarship Donation form on our website.  Thank you for considering this worthy cause.

LEHS Class of ’65 55th Reunion

In the Spring of 2020 our 55th reunion was scheduled to be held at the DoubleTree (Old Ferncroft) in Danvers.  The pandemic caused rescheduling to Friday, September 24, 2021.  The Committee in the next few months will discuss our options with the hotel and decide whether we should keep the date or maybe put it out another year if possible.  We hope you and your families have stayed safe & well during these unprecedented times and that we get to see you at our 55th Reunion whenever it may be!

Veterans are special because

Veterans leave their families to fight for our country, for our freedom . They fight for us, their kids, their husbands or wives, and for the world. Veterans are special because they put all of our needs before theirs.  So we can live another day in freedom.

There’s no way to thank our veterans for everything they sacrifice for our freedom, but on Veterans Day, we have to try. … To all the veterans out there… we salute you! Thank you for your service and sacrifice! Thank you to all members of our military, in all branches, past and present, living and dead.
